Wattson Blue
Wattson Blue is an iOS app that helps you track your recovery and training.
Balance stress and recovery to maximise your long-term performance. Whether you are an athlete or just want to perform to your best, Wattson Blue helps you improve and avoid burnout. Track all your metrics, such as Resting Heart Rate, HRV, sleep, and stress, directly within the app, or sync them from your Oura ring. You can also pull in your sleep and activity levels from Apple Health.
Sync your training directly from Strava and get activity analysis and training feedback.
Use Wattson Blue to learn when you can push yourself, and when you need to hold back.
Wattson Blue was a project that started at University of Oxford alongside the OUBC and OUWBC athletes to help them manage stress and reocovery of being full time students while preparing to compete in the Oxford and Cambridge boat race.
The project is now in sunset mode but it is still available on the Apple App Store. You can pull in your activities from Strava, while pulling in your HRV and sleep from OURA ring or POLAR. You can also record your HRV using the camera on your phone, although this is not encouraged due to quality of alternative tools such as POLAR and OURA ring available.
The app used to be used by thousands of student-athletes and amateur athletes around the world including St Paul's School in London, Putney High School, Queen's University of Charlotte, OUBC, OUWBC, OULRC and OUWLRC, however, there are no on-going collaborations as of 2024.
The project is now in sunset mode but it is still available on the Apple App Store. It used to be also on Google play store, however, we no longer support Google.
